Meet The Doctor

Dr. Bridgett Simon is a native of Louisiana who has lived in Seattle for 12 years. Dr. Simon completed her undergraduate studies at University of Louisiana where she studied the classic psychological counseling programs and also managed a department of a cognitive behavioral research laboratory studying the development of the mind of children. While in undergraduate school, she became an apprentice to an herbalist learning about the medicinal properties of plants and was intrigued about the potential use of the plants as medicine and nutrition. The result was ultimately a shift in graduate school plans toward a medical school program (and a lot of pre-med classes) that incorporated natural medicine into the program. Dr. Simon attended Bastyr University, one of the world’s leading schools of natural medicine which allowed her to be trained with the skills of a medical doctor while also learning in depth about nutrition, prevention of disease, botanical medicine, and counseling. This is what as known as a naturopathic physician or ND.

Dr. Simon also obtained a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture from Bastyr as well. Using a combination of western and eastern philosophies of treatment opens up many options for hard to treat conditions as well as preventative medicine.
